How to update your Kaspersky Mobile offline

Kaspersky is the leading mobile security antivirus for most phones, especially Symbian phones. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile is a convenient and reliable solution that protects smartphones from malicious programs that target mobile platforms.
Here are the features of Kaspersky Mobile:

Anti-Theft feature locates your phone if lost or stolen, remotely blocks or wipes device. Data Encryption feature secures your most sensitive files and folders. Anti-Spam feature blocks annoying ad calls and SMSs. Parental Control feature knows your child's whereabouts, prevents unwanted calls and messages. Anti-Virus and Firewall ultimately protect your smartphone. You can use the capabilities providing flexible control of the Kaspersky Mobile Security operation settings, viewing the current protection status and the event log in which the program's actions are recorded. The program includes a menu system and supports an easy-to-use user's interface.Version 8.0 includes SMS-Find (locate your phone if it's lost or stolen), encryption to secure your most sensitive files, photos and documents, Anti-Spam for annoying calls, and Parental Control.

However, for it to protect your phone effectively against malware, it needs to be updated regularly. You can update your Kaspersky manually by using the "Update" function in the application which connects the Kaspersky anti-virus database to the Internet.
Kaspersky Mobile can also be updated offline without connecting the Kaspersky to the Internet. Here,we shall look at how to update the anti-virus database of your Symbian S60v3 phone.First of all, make sure that your phone has been hacked. Then, go to:

ftp://ftp.kaspersky.com/bases/av/avc/symbian/

Click and download the file tagged "kav20sym.avc" .Now,rename the "kav20sym.avc" to "b.dat" and save. Now, using a file explorer such as Xplore (recommended),File Explorer or DrJukka on your hacked Nokia S60v3 phone, copy the "b.dat" file to C\Private\20011c24 and overwrite the existing "b.dat file" there.Exit your file explorer and on opening your Kaspersky Mobile, you will notice that the database date has been updated to the current date of the offline update file.
The above procedure is used for older versions of Kaspersky Mobile. For newer versions of Kaspersky Mobile on Symbian S60v3 phones, follow the steps recounted and copy/move and paste the "b.dat" file to this folder instead: C\Private\20028DDF .However, for you to place the "b.dat file here, you have to first rename the "20028DDF" to something like "20028DDE" and when you have sucessfully copied the offline update file to this folder, rename the folder back to it's original title and exit your file explorer.
For Symbian S60v2 phones, copy the "b.dat" file to C\Apps\KSMobile and overwrite existing file. If you have any questions regarding this tutorial, you may ask at the comments board.Hope it is useful.

How to download YouTube videos by simply using "OK"

Youtube is one of the most visited sites on the Internet as they have millions of video clips ranging from entertainment, sports, politics, arts, tutorials to the weird and downright outrageous. However, these videos hosted on Youtube can only be streamed and watched on their site as they do not support downloading of these videos. For those with slow internet connections, this can be frustrating as the videos will take time before they load and actually start playing.

These downloading restrictions by Youtube has made many smart Internet geeks to come up with different tricks and methods to circumvent this inhibition. The most common among this method is leeching, a situation where the Youtube video is transcoded on the video leeching site and made available for downloading in several video formats.
There are a lot of Youtube transcoding websites on the Internet but my favourite Youtube leeching site is OkYoutube . Downloading Youtube videos with OkYoutube is as easy as counting to 1-5.
Just add "ok" before WWW. and youtube.com to download the video e.g
http://www.OKyoutube.com/watch?v=Jbk8vzyFWvA&feature=rec-fresh+div-f-2-HM
To download in other video formats,do this:

Link To Download (3GP) : www. 3.OK youtube.com/watch?v=Jiu_RVueGBs
[ www.3.OKyoutube.com/watch?v= Jiu_RVueGBs ]

Link To Download (MP4) : www. 4.OK youtube.com/watch?v=Jiu_RVueGBs
[ www.4.OKyoutube.com/watch?v= Jiu_RVueGBs ]

Hope it works for you.

Download lyrics for your TTPod music player using MiniLyrics

Minilyrics is a powerful lyrics viewer on PC that enables you to obtain the lyrics of virtually any American or British song which you are looking for .It requires an Internet connection to download the lyrics. It synchronizes seamlessly with major music players like Window Media Player, Jet Audio, Media Monkey and other popular music formats. I have been using it for two years and I am impressed with MiniLyric's ability to provide the lyric of any song which I am looking for.
The saved lyrics file can be in either lrc,txt or other formats supported by the application. The lyrics downloaded from the application can be found in the C:/Lyrics directory. However, you can modify the default folder to any location of your choice.

TTPod is a music player mainly designed for Symbian phones with many unique functions, chief of which is the ability to display lyrics of songs being played on the music player. Although TTPod can search for lyrics of the song being played, it has a small database of song lyrics compared to the thousands of song lyrics available on Minilyrics. This makes sourcing of song lyrics on the TTPod somewhat difficult.
To correct this anomaly,I play the song that I desire the lyrics from my Nokia PC Suite's Music Manager and then copy the lyrics generated by the Minilyrics which is saved in C:\Lyrics to the lyrics folder in the TTPod. The lyrics folder in the TTPod can be found in TTPod\Lyrics,depending on where the TTPod application is located in the phone. However, make sure that you go to Preference\Lyrics\lyrics download and select the renaming of the downloaded lyrics file name as "the same name as the song".
Now, you can successfully generated lyrics for your TTPod music player using MiniLyrics!

Music means a lot to many people.Music, to me, is indispensable. You have to accept it as a routine part of your existence. It can transcend you from the highs to the lows. There are certain types of music that I like listening to. This music determine my mood swing.

However, music is better appreciated if one is familiar with the lyrics.Lyrics helps one to understand fully the message the song writer is trying to pass across.Lyrics makes one to blend further with the artist and accentuate the mood of the song.

Fortunately, lyrics of most music can now be easily searched on the web. This has eliminated the tedious task of writing out the lyrics by one self, especially when the music involved is rap and hip-hop music.

Being a Nigerian, I like to connect better with Nigerian music I listen to by learning the lyrics of those songs. My quest to get the lyrics of my favourite Nigerian songs led me to Museke.com .

Museke.com , an African music lyrics website founded by a Ghanaian, is the biggest database for African music lyrics. The lyrics of songs from most African countries, especially Sub-saharan African countries, can be found in this website.

How to download free AVI music videos online

AVI( Audio Video Interleave) is one of the most popular video formats widely used in video encoding. It's popularity lies on the strength of the high quality audio and video output it is known for.
I prefer viewing videos in avi format than flash videos because of the clarity of both the sound and video. However, getting avi videos on the internet sometimes proves to be difficult as most of the videos are in flv format.Videos found in YouTube, Daily Motion and other video sites are in flv format; so the search could prove difficult for avi video lovers.
However, there is a method I use in getting free avi music videos online. There is a Russian-English music search engine site that I use: Tagoo . Tagoo not only search for music files but also video files. One unique feature of Tagoo is that it can convert music videos that you searched on the go.

3.) Select a link from the search results and then click on the video name.

4.)In the next page that opens, select "Add to Downloads" from the options provided.

5.)After adding to downloads, click on "Downloads" on the top of the page.
